The Ipswich Docks Art Project

This community Art project is being created with support from the Norfolk and Norwich Festival. As a part of their Young Creatives Bursary scheme I have partnered with the Ipswich Maritime trust to create and deliver a set of pilot workshops at a local primary school over the course of six months. The sessions respond to oral history anecdotes and stories I have collected through interviewing local people involved in the docks in the 60s and 70s with the Trust. Through collaborative sessions of painting, music-making, and physical theatre/movement these stories will be explored more fully with the aim to create new inter-generational connections to our local history.
