About
I am an MA Fine Art graduate from UWE Bristol with a BA in Art History. Some materials I work with frequently are painting, glass sculpture, and 3D scanning. Over the last few years I have been interested in exploring our experience of the Contemporary Sublime in the landscape. Perusing this has involved many long walks while I've experimented with ambulatory art and self-tracking. Using maps as a starting point, my paintings are layers of structure and memory. Some themes that are often present in my work are interior/exterior worlds, childhood and relationships, and layers of symbolism found both in Art History and modern day. I enjoy layering historical techniques and traditions with a more unconventional use of found/reclaimed wood, fabric, paints and pigments, as well as an engagement with our current surroundings.
